Getting away from their controversial name of Living With Eating Disorders, Andrea Kerr, Jared Christian Hawkes and Mark Bishop return with their Colt debut. On the surface not much has changed with it still being the same band but Colt play on their influences of Kate Bush and Portishead too a much fuller effect. Loosing the screaming demons of LWED the first few tracks showcase Andrea’s ability to sing with beauty and you roll with her taking you across the top of the clouds. Then with an almighty thud ‘Demon In The Wheels’ brings you crashing back to earth where shades of the old Andrea come bursting out.
‘I Talk To God’ is easily one of the best tracks on the album with an upbeat sound that just makes you want to dance and in stark contrast ‘Lullaby’ is another great track as it builds with tension and is a real depressing track as is most of the album yet is reeks with brilliance.
Not only did the band change their name but they change the league they were in, Colt are now one of the rare gems.
