Limp BizkitSat 6 Sep 2003 Fred Durst pulls in the crowd at Finsbury Park. This day of rock with 5 bands in support to Limp Bizkit was a free show apart from a £1 booking fee. It was Limp Bizkit's way of apologizing for pulling out of the Download Festival.
The day was Sponsored by Carling.
With the day starting off sunny and then a slight bit of rain Rockbeast had doubts how long the down pour was going to hold off. Luckily it never happened.
With this gig turning into a mini-festival with stalls and fair ground intact. The crowd barrier, similar to that at Ozzfest last year, did not prove much of a fan pleaser. With only 3,800 wristbands given out with out any warning in advance.

| Limp Bizkit | Arriving onstage, on time is a great achievement for any headlining act at any gig but Limp Bizkit arrived onstage at 9pm, dead on time. With a lot of people before hand questioning whether Limp Bizkit are going to last much longer?
Fred Durst commenced by whipping the crowd into a frenzy by getting himself as close to them as possible, leaning over the barrier and sitting on his minders shoulders, then staying on stage from there on.
At every opportunity, Fred was thanking the UK, "it's great to see all of you here, but hey it's a free concert."
Fred was constantly running about the stage like a kid in a candy shop. With 'Sam Rivers' jumping up and down this was only the second time the UK have had the chance of meeting Limp Bizkit's new guy, 'Mike Smith', whom the crowd cheered with approval.

| Limp Bizkit | With this show being aired live on MTV across the world this show was big to say the least. With references to Britney Spears this must still be a very sour part of Fred Durst's life.Fred ranted, saying that most people in this world think 'I’m fucked up and your fucked, do you know what I say, I am fucked up!'
 |
| Limp Bizkit | Playing a few new songs off of their latest album yet to be released 'Results May Vary' and a lot of old favourites , 'Hot Dog', 'My Generation' 'Full Nelson' and 'Take A Look Around' to name but a few, Limp Bizkit proved they still have it.
Having four kids onstage for 'My Way' showed that Limp Bizkit were here for the fans. Playing two encores with loads of fireworks and pyrotechnics this proved to be a show to remember.
One question every body asked "why did Limp Bizkit not play 'Rollin'? But every person left with a smile on there faces and Limp Bizkit.
'A'
- Jason Perry - Vocals
- Mark Chapman - Guitar
- Dan Carter – Bass
- Giles Perry - Keyboards
- Adam Perry - Drums
 |
| A | Hitting the stage with a new song that only a few knew was a slow start but it seemed to be planned. Following it they kicked straight into 'Nothing' which everyone in the whole arena knew.
With a back drop of palm trees on the beach, this brought a breath of fresh air. The distinctive voice of 'Jason Perry' echoed across the park, making 'A' such a favourite with anyone who has been to see them.
The guitarist 'Mark' upon coming onstage surveyed the crowd with a look of determination and never missed an opportunity to pose. Meanwhile 'Adam Perry' appears to enjoy every moment smiling, pulling faces all whilst playing with vigour. We shall look forward to their new album which is almost certain to be another hit.
The Cooper Temple Clause
- Ben Gautrey - Vocals
- Tom Bellamy - Guitar
- Dan Fisher - Guitar
- Didz Hammond - Bass
- Kieran Mahon - Keyboards
- Jon Harper - Drums
 |
| The Cooper Temple Clause | Untold energy that was released on the Finsbury Park stage was gratefully appreciated by the crowd of mixed ages. With their original sound that makes TCTC one of the most fast rising bands of the year, Finsbury Park enjoyed thier set.
InMe
- Dave McPherson - Vocals/Guitar
- Joe Morgan - Bass/Backing Vocals
- Simon Taylor - Drums
 |
| InMe | These fresh faced young men know how to rock. Disappointingly they were greeted with a barrage of missiles being hurled at them. Dodging bottles one eventually struck Joe Morgan's bass guitar causing him to smile and applauded the hurler. Eventually 'Dave' suggested to the crowd that there were plenty of bins at which point the bottling ceased.
InMe went on to play a great set mostly from their album 'Overgrown Eden' and finished to a warm and genuine applause.
For such a young band to carry on and play such a good set under duress underlines their confidence and ability on such a large stage.
Biffy Clyro
- Simon Neil - Guitar/Vocals
- James Johnston - Bass/Vocals
- Ben Johnston - Drums/Vocals

| Biffy Clyro | Biffy Clyro came onstage to a warm response from the crowd. Playing their unique brand of rock. At the end of each song few could mistake the genuine appreciation from Finsbury Park.
These gifted musicians played for 45 minutes, with energy and feeling for their music. This band goes from strength to strength building a legion of fans.
Simon and James compliment each other as they continue to sing .Their guitars riffs are traditional and echoe past great bands.
Since last seeing Biffy Clyro in Exeter at the Summerslam they have grown in confidence and seem to Rockbeast an even more solid band onstage.
thisGIRL
- Liam Creamer - Vocals
- Christopher Sheperd – Guitar
- Matt Westley - Bass
- Ryan Jenkinson - Drums
thisGIRL came onstage just as it started to rain which soon was surpassed by a break in the cloud and some sunshine. Unfortunately thisGIRL were not welcomed by the Finsbury Park crowd. The bottling started early, with Ryan Jenkinson very well protected wearing a crash helmet.
'Liam' screamed “the first person who throws a bottle of piss up onstage I will drink it." With that, 'Liam' paused for a few seconds, with no bottles thrown “ah, you are to scared to get your cocks out in the crowd." But then a bottle did appear, rather than drinking it Liam poured the contents of the bottle over his head.
thisGIRL showed great energy with leaps and bounds all over the stage along with a lot of good songs. This band deserved better and more respect from the crowd.
