| Lennon | Kicking things off were New York born Lennon. Her powerful voice brought the early comers to the barrier as the stood giving her and the band full attention. The line up completed by Mikey Mayhem and Bruce on guitar and drums gave Exeter something to head band to from the get go. Lennon’s feminine but powerful vocals broke the air as Mikey Mayhem rocked away on the other side of the stage.
Still out promoting her album ‘Damaged Goods’ released in September 2006 Lennon picked up themselves many new fans and friends tonight on only the second night of the tour. With many more nights ahead of them Lennon could easily gain enough support to warrant coming back very soon.

| Brand New Sin | Brand New Sin’s mixture of metal and Southern rock was a perfect combination as their groove laden rock assault on the Lemon Grove who of course lapped it up. Front man Joe Altier worked the crowd and truly was thankful for all the support the band was given by the audience. Playing tracks from their latest album ‘The Tequila Record’ which was loved by all. For a first trip over to the UK Brand New Sin definitely now a band that everyone will here tonight remember and want to see again.
Brand New Sin are definitely a band with a great future ahead of them and a band I would love to see time and time again.

| Godhead | Godhead it seemed brought along as many people tonight as the headliners Soil and you can tell exactly why only a couple of songs into their set as their original blend of industrial rock and tinges of pop took the evening to a new height. Playing a host of tracks new and old they even threw in a cover of the Beatles ‘Eleanor Rigby’ showcasing their diversity as a band.
Godhead tonight showed just why they have played all over the world at massive festivals and shared the stage with the likes of Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, Mudvayne and many others because quite frankly their awesome and deserve to be filling venues twice this size.

| Soil | It was clear that tonight there could be only one headliner as Soil walked out onto the stage amidst a roar of cheers and raised horns. Tearing into ‘Breaking Me Down’ Soil dominated throughout playing a whole host of new and old songs to the delight of the sweaty mob of metallers in front of them. AJ like most front men said that tonight was the best night of the tour so far but unlike most he said ‘but that could all change tomorrow night’ giving him that little bit extra that genuine touch and of course it made Exeter give that little bit more.
Soil provided non stop energy and of course they couldn’t leave out ‘Halo’ but they left it to the very end and gave Exeter one last chance to sing along with them as the band was joined onstage by Brand New Sin’s vocalist Joe Altier. When it was all done and dusted Soil left a sea of bodies behind them gasping for more and proved they’ve still got it. |
